Christmas movies to watch before this Christmas Day 🎄

So now it’s Christmas, well, it’s Christmas month! Though it sometimes doesn’t feel much like Christmas when you’re living in a country that may not necessarily celebrate Christmas and it isn’t drenched in obvious tokens honouring that holiday.

Sooooo what can you do in another country to make it feel like Christmas….

HELLO CHRISTMAS FILMS.

So here’s my favourite Christmas movies for you to watch (if you haven’t already)

1. Miracle on 34th Street : This film makes me feel like the most Christmassy person in the world, there’s something so beautiful about it that I just love.

2. Arthur Christmas : This animated movie is fun for the whole family! Now, I don’t even have children or any kids around me to pretend I’m watching this for, it’s just that good!

3. Home alone (First 3 ONLY) : A young boy left at home for Christmas, laying down traps to fight off burglars, I’m in…. The stunts in this movie make for good old slap-stick comedy and I for one WILL laugh every time. I will not however stand for any “home alones” after the 3rd one.

4. The grinch : Perhaps one of the funniest and most extravagant Christmas movies. The costumes, the rhyme, the sets…it’s such a great movie!

5. Meet me in st Louis : I don’t think I’ll ever get over how wonderful this movie is. I may be slightly biased because I’m such a Judy Garland fan but ‘boy next door’ is such a beautiful song.

Also honourable mentions go to: Edward Scossorhands, The Holiday & Love Actually though the list could go on and on and on…in fact, I’m going to go watch more now, and I’ll get back to you later in the month haha!

Christmas round-up!

So it’s December the 31st. The Christmas season is well and TRUELY over and tonight we will all be drinking champagne and pretending to know the worlds to auld lang syne.

I for one, have loved this December. I mean, yes granted it wasn’t a white Christmas but who cares, Christmas is the time to be jolly and I embraced that.

Throughout December I find that more people want to socialise, tis the season to be merry after all….and merry I was! After work drinks and meals with friends were in full bloom this season and I ate more than I can even begin to explain to you all! Just check out this feast we had at the Bloggers Christmas Burger event

I believe the next day my waistline did challenge old Santa Clause’s himself.

Another highlight of the season was works secret Santa! Spoiler alert…I LOVE GIVING GIFTS! I’m the kind of person that guaranteed will make it crafty and as personal based as possible. I just love it!

There’s nothing better than a bucket full of sangria to really get you into the holiday spirit!

As Christmas Day started to get closer and closer I was so excited to be going home for the holidays! I have quite a big, separated family so getting to spend time with them all, really is time that I treasure and over the holiday season I like nothing more than being back up home in Yorkshire.

This year I received some wonderful gifts from both Family and friends so here is a little peek at some of the beautiful items I received this year (don’t worry I won’t show you every single thing I was gifted 🙈 )

 First up…..
Click-Snap-oh my gahd look at how pretty it is 😍

From books, to beauty, to chocolate, to clothes…I really did get some beautiful gifts this year! If you want to see more of my presents let me know and I may put together a Xmas present post 🙈

Finally, here are some of my beautiful family members I spent Xmas with. I miss you guys already but I’ll be back soon for more singing around the house 😊

I cannot wait to see what 2016 is going to bring! Right I better go make some resolutions for me to not stick to!

Happy new year everyone!

BloggersChristmasBurger

Hello everyone!

It’s officially the countdown to christmas, and what better way to celebrate the lead up to the big day than with new friends and extreme amounts of food!

That’s exactly what i did at the Bloggers Christmas Burger event.

After being invited to join some other bloggers for a festive evening of burgers and cocktails by the lovely Pippa i was both excited and nervous to meet new people and get into the christmas spirit.

This would be my second blogger event i had attended and so i naturally went into panic mode as i arrived at covent garden and google mapped my route to the venue ; Brioche. It’s always the same few things that make me anxious, am i too early? Am i too late? Why didn’t i straighten my hair, this outfit is ratchet. Will i be the only one who doesn’t know anyone? Will they like the same things as i?And  finally the hope that they don’t mind someone who makes a joke out of 80% of all conversations.  You know the usual.

All my doubts and worries were immediately crushed though as soon as i entered the venue. I took a place on the end of the table, by the door and began chatting with some other lovely bloggers whilst sipping my christmassy themed cocktail.

As the evening continued we were all starting to become hungry bloggers and it was time to choose our burger and toppings.

I went for buttermilk chicken with halloumi and mushrooms, which i think should just be renamed.. THEMOSTDELICIOUSBURGERYOUWILLEVEREATBURGER- burger. The sweet brioche bun worked perfectly with the chicken and the generous array of sides they provided made the whole meal more like a feast! I mean, guys, there were curly fries. CURLY FRIES, do you know how old i was when i last had curly fries. It was just the best!

After taking quite some time to enjoy our burgers…(most of that time included fellow bloggers saying how full they were and i saying how they should ignore that feeling and power through) we eventually finished and were ready for desert. Now… YES.It’s true i like desert, and yes, Brioche delivered. This salted caramel sticky toffee pudding was perhaps one of the best puddings of my life. Now, if you think i’m over reacting here, then go try it, because i love being right! I’d go as far as to say it was perhaps the highlight of the night for me. I’m totally kidding, but it was that good!

As everyone began to finish their food and i sipped the last of my gin and tonic, the evening was coming to an end and i had had a wonderful time! I had eaten more food than i thought was possible, i had met new people and clicked instantly with some, as if we’d known each other forever. As we said our goodbyes, we were given a little xmas parcel, which i think was just the star of the top of the xmas tree (went for kid of a cherry on top of the cake thing here, just go with it,pretend it works 🙈)

Inside were gifts from the wonderful :
Beegood, Sass and Belle and Letterbox Gifts, so thank you also to you guys for providing me with xmas treats!
One thing i need to mention before i quickly say goodbye is that Brioche is a pop up! So do run and fill your faces with ALL THE FOOD, before it disappears.

Once again thanks for a wonderful evening!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.
