Hello, everyone today i’m going to tell you about our recent trip to Munich.

I was lucky enough to be one of those people who wins a radio competition. I know, that actually happens! I won a weekend trip for two to see Ellie Goulding in concert in MUNICH, so naturally i took Naomi with me and here’s what we explored whilst we were there.

It was February in Munich and was pretty cold so make sure to pack a warm coat, boots and a hat.

We stayed in the Pullman Hotel in Munich and it was absolutely beautiful. It had a bar downstairs that made the best Solero cocktail i have had to this day. The staff were super friendly, and more than willing to help us with tips and tricks of where to go, what to eat and what to see whilst we were there. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean, the beds were soft and the view was superb. The subway was just around the corner and the area felt very safe we would 10/10 would recommend staying here if it is within budget.

For sight seeing you should head to Marienplatz you can get off here from the subway, it lets you out right onto the main square. Where when we luckily arrived it was time for the Glockenspiel which usually comes alive at 1pm. It goes on for a while and really is fascinating. It’s worth a little visit.

There are museums and markets a plenty to stroll around here, so do indulge in the culture have a look at what they are selling and pick up a few items to take home.

Perhaps one of my favourite things about Munich was the architecture, when strolling around you can see the amazing buildings that line the streets, grand or small there is such an attention to detail and excellent work that i really enjoyed.

The food in Munich is excellent and truly filling. One thing must be noted though, the germans love their alcohol and that was obvious by how when we ordered ‘breakfast’ pretezels it came with the largest beer i have ever seen. (Not that we complained – the beer here was great!)

We were lucky enough to see Ellie Goulding at the amazing Munich Kesselhaus a steel work space turned arena in an old industrial building. The concert was amazing and had such an intimate feel. Ellie Goulding was incredible and there was something about the nature of the people attending the concert that felt so relaxed, no one was pushing , everyone was super chilled and excited for the music to start.
